Kimberley Portia Todd The other side of Heaven synopsis The other side of heaven Synopsis Enoch has been sent to earth by God to determine whether the planet and its inhabitants are worth saving. After many months of travel around the world he settles in the Mojave Desert to complete his evaluation and send the ancient tablets explaining his results… He finds this planet and its residents unworthy of the gifts god has given them; the planet must be destroyed. In the Mojave extraordinary things begin to happen to Enoch, he meets an ancient people that change the way he feels about this forsaken planet and he discovers an evolution beginning in his soul. He breaks his vow of silence and soon discovers that he is not really what he believed himself to be. Yanaba and Enoch have the same vision of a woman clad in black, who, over time, conveys a message to them of Enoch’s origin from Neveah where those that are originally from earth and are worthy are sent to live forever in peace. Those that have touched earth cannot enter into Heaven itself. The lady in black reveals that she is the spirit of Yanaba’s mother, who also comes from Neveah, she encourages Yanaba’s relationship with Enoch even though her father and her people say it is a forbidden union, Yanaba being a healer, and Enoch a holy man. Over the next few months Enoch finds himself becoming more and more like the humans he detested. He falls in love with Yanaba and finds love and peace with her and in the presence of her people despite their objections. Just as he discovers the mystery behind his mission and his own origins, he also realizes he must save some of these humans, he knows now that he was once from this planet and that he too was a great sinner and destroyer, an Egyptian Pharaoh determined to exalt his people and rid them of the heathens they enslaved - Yanaba’s ancestors. He sets out to save as many as he can and atone for his crimes to earth and Yanaba’s people, as the countdown to earths destruction begins. He must find a way to convince God to let him take those he has chosen to save to Neveah his true home, on the “Other side of Heaven”.
